MALACHITE is an exploration through videos and photos of Black Folks & Nature, together and separately. It is a celebration of the community in SouthWest Georgia as a continuation of Black Folks carrying on their cultural/communal traditions. It is the interaction of Black & Green and the transformation that happens when we are surrounded by that which we are - nature, spirit, transformation, the liminal, and body.
MALACHITE was originally intended as an installation piece with soundbites, photo galleries and videos, but due to impact of COVID-19, is now a singular video on the webs incorporating all of those components. While some degree of its delivery has been impacted by this change in location, this page will serve as an experimental container to explore ways to deliver this content while in isolation. Thank you for coming. - Jupe
